Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026

This policy explains what Bible Trivia Fellowship (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the game and your group’s subscription. We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.

What we collect

  • Account information. If you sign in to create or help run a group, we collect your name and email address. We use your email to send sign-in links and group invitations.
  • Group information. Group names, settings, the custom questions your group writes, invitations (including the email addresses of people you invite), and saved game scores.
  • Players. Players join with a room code and a display name. They don’t need an account or an email address. We store the display name, answers, and scores for that game.
  • Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep only Stripe’s reference IDs for your group’s customer record and subscription, plus the subscription status and renewal date.
  • Technical information. We use your IP address to limit abuse (for example, too many sign-in attempts). We store it only in a one-way scrambled (hashed) form for a short time.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Players’ browsers store a game token so they can rejoin the same game after a refresh. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use information

  • To run games, save scores, and let group owners manage their group.
  • To send sign-in links, invitations, and important account notices.
  • To process subscriptions, prevent fraud, and handle billing issues.
  • To understand how the service is used, through totals we calculate ourselves (such as the number of games played). We do not use third-party analytics.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run the site:

  • Stripe — payment processing and billing.
  • Resend — sending sign-in and invitation emails.
  • Render — hosting the website and database in the United States.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the service.

How long we keep it

We keep account and group information while your account or group is active. Expired sign-in links, old sessions, and abuse-prevention records are cleared out regularly. Payment records may be kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time by emailing girdedking@gmail.com. If you ask us to delete a group, we also remove its custom questions, invitations, and saved scores.

Children

Group accounts are for adults. Children may play in a game hosted by their group, but players only enter a display name — we don’t ask players for an email address or other contact details. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Sign-in uses one-time email links instead of passwords. Data is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. For significant changes we’ll notify group owners by email.
